Mickey Andrews was generally pleased with the defense. "Pretty good effort to hold that team under six points," Andrews said. "Our objective is to hold them under 15 and that's the first time we've done that. We had nine missed tackles compared to 30 or so the first week. Fewest number of [missed] tackles we've had maybe in years."
It seems that Jimbo Fisher has calmed down and was not quite as critical of the offense as he was on Sunday. Overall, Fisher said the biggest positive from Saturday was that the offense didn't turn the ball over for the first time this season. However, for the unit to be successful, Fisher says they will need to play with confidence.
According to FSU sports information,the television networks have decided to go from a 12-day game day announcement for the Florida State-Alabama game to a six-day option. So the time of the Sept. 29 contest won't be known until Sunday.
