    DJ Hall In Spotlight For Bama



    Senior wide receiver DJ Hall is one of the big time players for Alabama. Hall who is from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida as a junior led the team in receiving with 57 catches for 1014 yards and five touchdowns. His 57 catches are third on the single season list and his 1014 yards set a new single season record at Alabama. He moved up to third all-time with 122 receptions and second with 1,876 yards. He is also tied for sixth with 11 career touchdown catches. He led the team in catches seven times and in receiving yards eight times out of the 12 games. He scored a touchdown in each of his first three games and in five of his 10 contests. He became the first player in Alabama history to record five straight 100-yard receiving games recording 100+ yards against Arkansas, Florida, Duke, Ole Miss and Tennessee. He shattered the previous record of three straight held by Freddie Millons. He tallied seven 100-yard games on the season to give him 10 for his career breaking Ozzie Newsome’s school record of six. The seven games with 100 or more yards also broke Newsome’s record of four in one season.

    Entering the Arkansas game last Saturday, he needed only 34 yards to eclipse the 2,070 yards receiving record set by Hall of Fame end Ozzie Newsome. He got it on the first play of the game.Through three games in 2007, the 6'2"Hall has 291 yards receiving and has scored two TDs.
