New University of North Carolina football coach Butch Davis has chosen not to retain offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti a team spokesman said today.
Cignetti had only one season to try to duplicate the high-powered offense he left at Fresno State.
Cignetti has been mentioned here as elsewhere as the possible offensive coordinator at FSU.
