Navy's Paul Johnson could be emerging quickly as the leading candidate for the NC State job. Johnson, who has employed an option offense with a minimum of passing at Georgia Southern and Navy, is declining comment on reports he may be interested in other jobs. He told the Annapolis (Md.) Capital on Tuesday, "I'm happy with my job. But I am like anyone else in any business. If someone calls, I'm going to listen."
Also, according to ESPN News, Norm Chow has withdrawn his name from contention for the NC State job.
