UCLA Not Sure Who Will Be Starting QB

UCLA coach Karl Dorrell has declined to say who will start at quarterback in the Emerald Bowl against FSU, Patrick Cowan, Ben Olson or both in the bowl game. "We're going to address that at some other time," Dorrell said. "We're getting ourselves ready for practice and we're not even practicing for another week. Guys are getting time to get their studies together and give them the best opportunity to finish this quarter well. When we resume practice, we'll start talking about personnel."

Dorrell said starting strong-side tackle Aleksey Lanis, who broke a bone in his left forearm against USC, was casted but is expected to play.

After paying back the Colts this past Sunday, Jaguars Coach Jack Del Rio paid off his rookie running back Monday. Del Rio lost a bet to Maurice Jones-Drew when the coach's alma mater USC football team lost to Jones-Drew's UCLA team 13-9 on Dec. 2.The original bet: sign autographs in the other's front yard while wearing the other guy's team jersey. It was modified by Jones-Drew in order to get the most publicity: Del Rio had to wear a UCLA jersey at the start of his Monday news conference with the broadcast media.
