One week after overcoming a double-digit deficit to win, the Buffs fumbled away a double-digit lead to lose a game in which they were double-digit underdogs. It was the first game in CU history to begin at triple-digit temperatures (102 degrees). Arizona State overcame its sloppy start at Sun Devil Stadium and charged back to a 33-14 victory behind a stout defense and the playmaking of quarterback Rudy Carpenter.

Florida finished off its two-game preparation for SEC play with a resounding 59-31 victory over Troy Saturday night, jumping to a 49-7 halftime lead. Next up is Tennessee in The Swamp.
