Noles Rally To Beat UAB 34-24

Houston, we have a problem. Nole fans better buckle up because they are in for a wild ride in 2007.

Drew Weatherford threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns as Florida State came from from behind and held off UAB 34-24 on Saturday.

The Seminoles once again found themselves in a hole to a team which has lost nine straight but was up 17-3 lead in the first half.

Florida State lost starting tailback Antone Smith with a concussion midway through the third period and his status for next Saturday's game at Colorado was not immediately known.

The Noles were plagued with penalties and players that seemed as if they were not in the game. This was a UAB team that was trounced by a Michigan State team last week.

Although the play of the Noles was better in the second half, the play was erratic and not indicative of a team that can win a lot of games in 2007.
