At Least Two Gators Opt for NFL

New Alabama football coach Nick "The Liar" Saban has offered Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach Jason Garrett a job as the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator, a source with knowledge of the process said Wednesday.

Garrett, a Princeton graduate, is a 40-year-old former NFL quarterback who has been an NFL assistant for two seasons. He has never been a coordinator.

Also, former Houston Texans coaches Joe Pendry and Steve Marshall have joined the UA staff, a source said.

Florida junior defensive end Jarvis Moss, one of the nation's most-feared pass rushers, said he will enter the NFL draft. Junior cornerback Ryan Smith also said Friday he would head to the professional ranks.

Wide receiver Andre Caldwell, who had 577 yards receiving and five touchdowns in the regular season and a TD in the Gators' BCS national championship game win over Ohio State, said Friday he will return for a senior season.

Colorado punter Matt DiLallo was named freshman All-America. DiLallo, a redshirt freshman from Wellington, Fla., was named first-team by the Football Writers Association of America. He was the only Colorado player on the list
