Tailback Antone Smith who dislocated his elbow against Western Michigan, expects to be at full strength for spring practice when he reports as the No. 1 tailback. He said he's able to grip the football again and is concentrating on building strength in his right arm.
A team meeting is set for later this week in which the players expect to be introduced to Fisher and new receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey. Fisher is expected to arrive in Tallahassee on Friday.
This is the first offseason since 2003 that no offensive lineman has undergone surgery. Everybody should be available to learn the new system under new offensive lines coach Rick Trickett. FSU will have four seniors next season, and that should help with the transition.
