FSU Sports Information Excerpts:
This final week of practices in Tallahassee for the 2008 season got underway this morning. The Seminoles are slated for a two-a-day today and both practices are scheduled to be 18 periods. This morning’s session was in full pads while this afternoon is going to be in shells and will emphasize the passing game.
Head coach Bobby Bowden:
On practice:
“We went full pads today. We will go again this afternoon with shells. It was a pretty good practice.”
On the receivers:
“Taiwan Easterling worked good today. He didn’t look hurt. Preston Parker didn’t practice. He is just working on his own trying to get ready.” (Parker has an ankle injury suffered in the Florida game that continues to bother him but he is expected to play in the Champs Sports Bowl.)
DB Patrick Robinson:
On Wisconsin:
“They’re not really tricky, they just try to run down the field and pound the ball. The thing we worry about is making the tackles, keeping them in front of us and try to stop the run because that’s the strength of their offense.”
