    A Two Headed Kiffin?

    * So are two Kiffins better than one? Probably. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin will be joining his son Lane at Tennessee. This makes sense since Lane is is hardly a great pick as head coach for the Vols and the elder Kiffin would certainly add some experience and gravitas to the coaching staff. Kiffen has already fired John Chavis who was the Vol's defensive coordinator for the past 14 years.

    * Notre Dame has announced that crew cut Charlie Weis will be back as its head coach in 2009. That does not make a lot of Notre Dame fans happy given Notre Dame's recent loss to Syracuse and the thrashing they took at the hands of USC. Now there is a web site called ChuckWeis.com. calling for his firing. The site states that "... Charlie Weis and the NFL experiment needs to end at Notre Dame. Charlie should be relieved of his duty, and the hunt for a new coach should begin."

    * Looks as if Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach is looking to get out of Lubbock or else he's using his interests in other schools as leverage for a new contract at Tech. Leach in the past had friend Donald Trump lobby on his behalf for the Miami job. He has interviewed this week for Washington. He may also now be interested in the vacant Auburn job since Tubberville resigned yesterday.
