    Scouting Report: FSU-Maryland

    Florida State

    SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
Even though the spread offense had limited success, the Seminoles are likely to try it again, reinforcing a lack of confidence in their running game. But if there was an opponent to run against, the Terps rank 11th in rushing defense, 11th in total defense.

    SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
As if the injuries were not frustrating enough, the Seminoles' defense had to deal with their offense playing giveaway last week against Boston College. An interception resulted in a touchdown. A fumbled reception resulted in the ball being placed at the FSU 1. A roughing-the-punter penalty gave BC a short field for its other touchdown drive. Otherwise, the starting defense played well.
