    * All of the work done during the session was against the Boston College scout teams.
    * Buster Davis has been named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award as the nation's top collegiate linebacker.

    QUOTES

    Head Coach Bobby Bowden

    On Injured Players

"(Geno) Hayes hasn't practiced all week and Brandon (Warren) tried to do some things today, but he can't run."

    (On Alex Boston)
"I'm worried about him, I don't think he practiced today."

(On who would be Boston's backup?)
"It will probably be Budd Thacker."

(On having a true freshman out there?)
"No, I don't (like it). I feel like we have to put the best out there that we can, and that's all we can do."

    Andre Fluellen

    (On the freshmen)

"It's different from just being there, and knowing that you're going to have to contribute. It's a lot of pressure for a freshman; they've handled it very well. Budd did a great job on the line last week, and all the freshmen have come along really well, faster than I think anyone could have expected."

    Chris Davis

(on his love for the spread offense)

"It's always a plus to be a receiver when we line up four wide. It gives more receivers an opportunity to get on the field. Anytime we line up that way, the receivers feel great about it."
