Florida State senior LB Buster Davis received his Senior Bowl invitation in the mail Wednesday before leaving town with the team. "It was one of my personal goals I wanted to accomplish," the Daytona Beach Mainland graduate said, "and I got it out of the way early." Aiming for what he hopes will be a first-round NFL draft pick, Davis now can focus on his goal of averaging 10 tackles per game his senior season. He has 45 through five games. The versatile 5-foot-10 defensive leader, who plays at both middle and weakside linebacker, already has been named a national defensive player of the week once this season and is on watch lists for the Bednarik, Butkus and Lombardi awards given to the nation's top defensive player, linebacker and lineman.
