Although he made it clear Drew Weatherford remains his starting quarterback, he said Weatherford held the ball too long at different times, missing open receivers.

He was pleased with the emergence of TB Lorenzo Booker as a receiver.

He remains committed to getting TE Brandon Warren more and more involved in the passing game.

The staff has not talked about moving tailback Marcus Sims to linebacker. FSU promised Sims he could play tailback when he was recruited and likely would not make the move without Sims’ consent.

He noticed linebackers Buster Davis and Lawrence Timmons at times trying to do too much to compensate for the injuries on the front line.
