Monday Morning Quarterback: FSU Loss to NC State

The mantra for this season so far should be don't blame the players, blame the coaches. So where do you start after FSU lost to 10 1/2 point underdog NC State? As I said, Coaching!

QB: Drew Weatherford does not look comfortable. He is holding the ball too long, throwing into double coverage , amd making crucial ints. He did have the 99 yard TD drive which was impressive. Is he being coached and is it time for more of Xavier Lee?
    Grade: C-

Running Game:Lorenzo Booker had a good game but run offense is still not clicking and does not provide a balanced attack.
    Grade:C+

Receivers: Hard to assess the receivers. Routes and plays are not happening. Guess who is the receivers coach?
    Grade:C+

Offensive Coaching: What more can be said that hasn't been said? This offense is not clicking. The offense was not able to convert TDS within the red zone twice in the game.Jeff Bowden is not capable of being an offensive coach. Period.
    Grade:D

Defensive Coaching: The defense played fairly well with a few lapses. The defense did have the great goal line stand against NC State. The inexperienced and young secondary was the weak link. I still like our defense.
    Grade:C-

Kicking: The kicking overall was decent but made two mistakes that gave NC State great field position.
    Grade:B-

Intangibles:FSU had a bye week to prepare for this game. They were unable to take home crowd out of game and made costly penalties.FSU also used all of their time outs in the second half by the beginning of the fourth quarter.
