    Could Noles Be Without Another Receiver On Saturday?


    Could the Noles be without another wide receiver on Saturday? According to The Florida Times-Union, Preston Parker was held out of FSU's final two practices this week after sustaining a deep thigh bruise on Tuesday. Parker says that he should be ok but that remains to be seen.

    Florida State rover Myron Rolle is one of twenty collegiate defensive players to earn a spot on the Lott Trophy quarterfinalist list. Rolle is having his best season at Florida State and is in the running to win the first major award by an FSU defensive player since Jamal Reynolds won the Lombardi Trophy in 2000. Rolle is second on the team in tackles with 38 and he leads the team in pass break-ups with five.

    In what is not a huge surprise, sophomore offensive lineman Evan Bellamy who was sidelined before the season with a blood clot in his leg said on Wednesday according to The Miami Herald that he doesn't expect to return this season. FSU's coaches had hoped he might return by the end of the season,

    How recently has it been that FSU has faced a triple option or wishbone type offense? Bobby Bowden was asked that question on Wednesday and he indicated that the last time he saw an option-type offense run against his team was when the Noles regularly played Auburn coached by Pat Dye in the 1980s.
