Noles Grab A Piece Of Sod On Their Way Out Of Miami

    * The Canes not only lost a game this past Saturday but also lost some sod. The game between FSU and Miami was designated a sod game by the Noles. FSU captain Antone Smith was chosen to get a piece of turf to take back to FSU's Sod Cemetery. FSU has more sod-game victories over Miami than any other team. Saturday's victory made the eighth such win for FSU.

    * Note to whoever chose the striped FSU shirts for the coaches to wear at the game. Lose them. Middle aged men with paunches don't look good in stripes.

    * In case you missed it, Kirk "The Homer" Herbstreit predicted a Miami win over the Noles. He also had predicted Colorado to beat FSU. And this buffoon gets paid to do whatever he does.

    * ABC announcer Brad Nessler made quite a few goofs during the FSU-Miami game. He called Ponder Lavon Ponder and said that he had his first interception of the year during the Miami game. Wonder what Brad was drinking?

    * ABC analyst Bob Griese said that he was surprised that Bobby Bowden loved recruiting. What? Has he been living under a rock? That's what Bowden has been known for over the years.
