Senior fullback Joe Surratt, who was suspended for the Miami game for violating team rules, is expected to return for the N.C. State game according to Jimbo Fisher. It was Surratt who last year was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, a third-degree felony; and disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence. He also was one of the players involved in the academic fraud scandal. You have to wonder why he is being given so many chances.
Apparently when the Noles play NC State next Thursday, Drew Weatherford will still be ahead of D'Vontrey Richardson on the depth charts. Hard to believe that Weatherford is ahead of Richardson.
It is unclear what the status of receiver Richard Goodman is for the remainder of the season. He missed the first three games due to suspensions and has not played the past two games. He could redshirt this season but that is yet to be decided according to Fisher.
