I read the CBS Sportsline article that you had linked to from TDO.com. It was crap. The writer was apparently too afraid to call FSU's leadership on the carpet about the Bowden duo, so he stooped to dogging the talent level of our players. WRONG! Has FSU not recruited blue chip talent year in and year out? Talent is not the issue...development of that talent IS! From Bowden Sr. to Dickey to Bowden Jr., there is PLENTY of blame to go around.
This Seminole team lacks motivation, leadership, basic tackling skills---lots of things---but one thing it doesn't lack is talent.
Bobby Bowden should be ashamed for the way he's let this program's image slip...to a point where sportswriters and fans are honestly worried about conference games like Duke. And thank heavens we're not facing Wake Forest fresh off their disappointing loss to Clemson! You'd think Bowden would worry more about tarnishing his own reputation than competing with JoePa for wins.
Quite honestly, I'm tired of Jeff taking all the blame here. Where does the buck actually stop? Is anyone in the Seminole Nation going to have the courage to stand up and say what needs to be said? It's time for Bobby to step down and take a cush office job in the building that bears his stained glass likeness!
I agree with you. FSU fans have been too tolerant and patient in regard to Bobby Bowden. It is time for a change.
