FSU Sports Information Excerpts:
With a full compliment of players available, FSU will head down to Miami Friday and try to upset the Hurricanes in Dolphin Stadium. The Seminoles last played in Dolphin Stadium in 2006 when they lost to Penn State. Florida State has actually lost its last three games played in the NFL home of the Miami Dolphins. FSU will have one more day to prepare for the Canes before boarding a plane on Friday.
Head Coach Bobby Bowden:
“Everything is running pretty smoothly. We had a pretty good practice today. We have our last practice tomorrow and that is when we will go over our game plan. Each week at practice we pick it up.”
On Miami’s tight ends:
“Yes they have great tight ends. That has always been a big part of their offense. We just need to be aware of it Saturday.”
On Ponder:
“He should improve every week. The main thing he needs is experience. The only way he will get that is in games. We will find out Saturday what he learned this week.”
LB Dekoda Watson:
On the Miami rivalry:
“My freshman year I didn’t know how intense it was until I got here and to be by the line and [the swearing] it was crazy. It’s something I really enjoy playing them is more special because it’s a great feeling when you win games like that. We’re just trying to get better and go out and play a great game.”
