Clemson will be looking to add another a tombstone when they travel to Tallahassee to take on the number 24 Noles. For Clemson, a win over a top 25 team on the road is a major accomplishment and is thus documented with the addition of a tombstone at the entrance of the Clemson practice field. This Clemson tradition dates to the early 1990s and tombstones are also added for a win over a top 10 team in a bowl game. Clemson has added five tombstones in the last 10 years.
Fourteen players on Clemson’s travel roster are from the state of Florida. The list includes seven players who would be considered starters. The top players include C.J. Spiller (Lake Butler), Chris Clemons (Arcadia) and Chris Chancellor (Miamii). Four of the players are from Jacksonville which has been an area that has been good to Clemson for many years.
