With FSU leading Maryland 7-0 early in the second quarter, Maryland tailback Da'Rel Scott was stripped of the ball by FSU defensive end Everette Brown. Linebacker Derek Nicholson picked up the fumble and ran 22 yards for a TD. The Noles led 14-0 and it was all downhill after that for the Terps.
