In a game that was never in doubt, the Gators defeated the Noles 45-15 for their fifth in a row.
In a perfect storm named Defeat, the Noles not only got manhandled by the Gators but also were denied a trip to the ACC championship game as BC took care of Maryland.
There weren't many bright spots for the Noles with the exception of Michael Ray Garvin and Graham Gano. Among the many problems for the Noles, Ponder was awful, the receivers couldn't hold on to the ball, the defense couldn't stop anyone, and the Noles couldn't convert third downs.
This is a team that is one game better on the season than last year with two of those wins coming against Western Carolina and Chattanooga. It is quite obvious that the Noles have a long ways to go in order to compete with teams like the Gators.
And as a footnote, we all know now why Drew Weatherford was not the starting quarterback for the Noles this season.
