With BC leading the Noles 24-17 in the fourth quarter and driving the ball, FSU's Darius McClure intercepted a BC pass at the FSU 13 yard line. With a chance to tie the game, FSU drove the ball to the BC 28 when Ponder threw a pass into the end zone. Greg Carr was outwrestled for the ball as the Eagles' DeLeon Gause intercepted the pass. The Eagles then took the ball on a long march that ended with a 19-yard field goal and the final score of 27-17.
