Joe Pa Loses Shot At National Title

Penn State gets my Turkey of The Week award as they lost to a not very good Iowa team and dashed any hopes they had at a shot for a national championship game.The media and others won't get that "feel good" story of Joe Pa's final national title shot.

The Lions' hopes for another national championship went down in flames as Iowa beat the Nittany Lions this past Saturday 24-23 on a last second field goal. Before the game, Penn State looked as if it was in the driver's seat as they had Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan State left on their schedule.

Honorable mention goes to Tennessee as they lost to a mediocre Wyoming team in the same week that Phillip Fulmer announced he would not be back as head coach next year.
